Kyle Beebe has been promoted to the position of director of aviation for Prospect Education, LLC. Headquartered in Reno, Nevada, Prospect Education is a provider of educational services through Charter College campuses in Washington, California, New Mexico, Montana and Alaska.
In his new role, Beebe oversees the day-to-day operations of Charter College Aviation, including marketing, admissions, flight partner relationships, student records and student accounts.
Beebe joined Prospect Education in 2014 in the role of director of new business and innovative program development, where he was responsible for researching future employment needs and determining what kind of education and training programs Charter College students needed to be successful. It was in that role that he helped start Charter College Aviation.
“Our focus has always been to help people find a great career doing something they love,” he explained. “And we know people love to fly!”
Beebe facilitated partnerships with select FAA part 141 flight schools across the country to offer flight students the option of earning a bachelor’s or associate degree in aviation. The flight schools offer ground school and general flight instruction they need to be prepared to earn a variety of FAA 141 licenses while Charter College provides students with the aviation and general education courses to earn their degree.
As Beebe points out, the bachelor’s degree is important for students who want to work as a pilot at a major airline, as most of the legacy airlines (United, Delta, FedEx, etc.) won’t even talk to them without it. The Charter College Aviation approach to education allows student pilots to get their training and degree done much more quickly than at a traditional school.
His educational background includes serving as program manager for Buckley Education Group and serving in a variety of roles (including Community Relations Coordinator, Regional Academic Director and Senior Director of Sales & Operations) for Kaplan Test Prep.
Beebe earned a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Houston, Texas.
